He recently appeared in Kemiyondo Coutinho’s award-winning short film GREEN produced by Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Network and screened at the 2019 American Black Film Festival in Miami. He was also featured in the world premiere of THE WILLOWS by Kerri-Ann McCalla at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles alongside Stefanée Martin and Thomas Silcott.
Notable feature film work includes: David Fincher’s FIGHT CLUB (Twentieth Century Fox) as Irvine the Bartender opposite Brad Pitt and Edward Norton; Jay Roach’s AUSTIN POWERS: INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY (New Line Cinema) in the memorable role as Irish Assassin Patty O’Brien opposite Mike Meyers; and Oliver Stone’s NATURAL BORN KILLERS (Warner Bros.).
Notable television includes the recurring roles of: Angelo in THE PRETENDER (NBC), head ICE officer Chaffee in THE SHIELD (FOX / FX), and Joe Cavanaugh in CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (CBS).
Paul’s stage work is legendary in theater circles and includes: originating Joe in Pulitzer prize-winning playwright Tracy Lett’s award-winning KILLER JOE (Next Lab-Chicago, Soho Playhouse-NYC, Garden Stage-LA, and at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival, Scotland); at the Geffen Playhouse he performed Luther also within Tracy Letts’ SUPERIOR DONUTS and Teach in David Mamet’s AMERICAN BUFFALO; at the Mark Taper Forum, he played Tiger in Rajiv Joseph’s BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO.
In Chicago, he performed with Famous Door Theater in the award-winning, long-running HELLCAB which he later produced as an indie film. Notable Chicago theaters Paul has collaborated with: Steppenwolf, The Goodman, A Red Orchid Theatre (founded by Michael Shannon), Victory Gardens, and The Viaduct.
